Gold Rush

Ryan Sprague sent me the following email:

 

I wanted to share a movement that has begun on the Internet to wear GOLD to the FSU v. OU game in Norman. Because the Sooners wear a similar red to our garnet and the also wear white the thinking it that by sporting our GOLD we will create a more noticeable presence in the stadium. Maybe it will help fire up the players, maybe it won't but it's a worthy effort. If you are willing, the leaders of the effort would love for you to pass this idea on to the people from your club who are making the trip to Norman. Thanks so much, and GO NOLES!!

Johnson County, Kansas, Seminole Club

I noticed that in the FSU Times magazine that we recently received at our house that Kansas is not listed with a Seminole Club.  I guess the alumni office/university has on record the Kansas City Seminole Club under Missouri which is totally fine.  However, I was wondering if we may like to make another Seminole Club official with FSU: The Johnson County Kansas Seminole Club?!  Let me know your thoughts.  We live on the south side of the city, but I was thinking if some one wants to take reins of the KC Seminole Club then my husband and I could lead the Johnson County one.  Let me know your thoughts/interest please!  Thanks!

ACC Event at the Wizard's

Calling all soccer fans...
The Kansas City Wizards soccer team has a game this coming Saturday, August 21, 2010

There will be an ACC Tail Gate preceding the game.  Apparently some of the Wizards and opposing team members attended ACC schools.  Although none attended FSU, we would love to represent ourselves at the game and have an opportunity to mix, mingle, and meet other ACC alumni and friends.  Event begins at 6 p.m. at Gate B and will be followed by a 7:30 soccer match.
